Characters

Wraeth

A changeling bard/warlock, under the patronage of the archfey (possibly Osman). They are on a quest to locate and free their family and track down the mysterious figure who haunts their dreams and may or may not be responsible for wiping out Wraeth's friends at the College of Bards, and capturing their mother and sister.

In their natural form, Wraeth is colourless and genderless, with white skin and hair and silver eyes that are pupilless and have no iris. Able to take on any form they desire  (provided they have seen them and they are humanoid) at a whim, their usual travel form is a plump and pretty young woman,  although they are able to modify their bodies in any way they desire.

Ulfgar

A cleric of the war god, Balfor, he turned his back on his worldly life and sworn himself to his god.  On discovering the desecration of a shrine to Balfor, he embarked on a quest for justice. This quest was laid aside when he joined the party and found a greater destiny in ridding the world of Belladonna and her followers.

During the course of the adventure, he became the prophet of Balfor and now bears his mark.

Ulfgar is the epitome of good, and will never turn his back on those who need help, even if he puts himself and his party in danger. He will also not allow the party to step out of line, for example in leaving the dead unburied and taking the heads of monsters.

During the adventure, he was involved in an incident where a group of mind-flayers were turning elves into mind-flayers and sending them through a portal. The party's only means of stopping the horror was to flood the cavern, which would take out the enemy, but a large number of innocent elves too. Being part of such a horrendous even caused him to undergo a crisis of faith which was resolved upon becoming Balfor's prophet.

Kririk

Kriric is the rogue of the group. He is cunning and knows stealth better than the back of his own hand His feathers are navy with hints of black, his beak is short and sharp, and his wingspan is about 10ft

He was born into slavery in a band of orcs and goblins. After a few years of torture, he started a revolt where the slaves attacked the band and he escaped during the madness.

Bree

A Druid who accompanied the party for a time at the beginning of their adventure. She left the party when she heard of a threat to her forest home.

Varok

A Goliath whose entire tribe was wiped out, he believes by orcs and goblins, while he was out on a hunting trip. For a time, he became mad with grief and shame at being clan-less but he was taken in by King Gossmar Hithrone and became a trusted member of his guard. He was sent with the party as a protector and soon became a valued member of the gang.

Darian Stormwind

A young noble. Part of the King's guard. He is an extremely talented archer and had become an essential and valued member of the group.

Eira

A half-drow who was sent to the party with a message from the King and told to join and assist them. From the beginning, she had a difficult relationship with Wraeth who did not trust her and was worried about the unwanted negative effect on the group due to the fact that drow were hated by many and often provoked murderous attacks. This was because drow, as whole hated all other races and were inclined to murder them with little provocation. They are, almost without exception evil. Although Eira is half-drow whose mother was raped by a drow causing Eira to hate them all, her skin and hair were outward indicators of her heritage and might well attract the reaction of "shoot now, ask questions later".

She left the group with a message for the King shortly before they entered the kingdom of the elves. It was felt wise as elves more than anyone hate drow.

Enna

A trusted member of the elven resistance who was sent with the group by Ascal, prince of the elves. Like Darian, she is a talented archer, and has become a valued member of the group.

Roland Dustmane

A poor farmer boy, Roland enlisted in the army at a young age; quickly rising up through the ranks, on his way to becoming the youngest general in the army's history. Rolands' bright future was darkened, however, when a strategic error cost the lives of hundreds of the men under his control. Broken by this mistake Roland left the military.

After being in retirement for only a short time Roland was approached by King Gosmar Highthrone himself, who offered Roland a position as captain of his personal guard. Despite some reservations Roland eventually decided to take the offer; he stayed in this position for many years, becoming a close and trusted friend of the king as well as becoming well respected amongst both the common people and soldiers.

When the awakening of the Lady Belladona reached the ears of the king, Roland was entrusted with the task of locating and eventually joining the party intertwined with these events.
